Taster slide for Simon M.001
by Dr Christopher Orr

“Just build it up with composite” is a phrase often used when patients are referred for restorative treatment opinions. From many perspectives, composite resin is an ideal material to make changes to a patient’s dental aesthetics and or function as it can be placed with little or no tooth preparation and is very easy to adjust or repair.

Many composite resin courses focus on replication of fine aesthetic details, but the major problem that most of us face is that we lack the artistic skills to provide anatomically accurate tooth shapes in a realistic amount of clinical time.

This presentation will discuss an efficient method of transferring shapes made on models into the patient’s mouth. This is a technique that has been used by Dr Orr for almost 4 years now with good success over that period. We will discuss the integration of the technique with commonly-encountered clinical situations.
